Capture history
Every capture, kept locally and searchable.
The screenshot you took twenty minutes ago should not be lost because you pressed copy instead of save. Shotnix keeps a local history you can browse, search by the text inside the image, and restore from.
Search by what is in the picture
Screenshots are OCR-indexed in the background. Type a word and the grid filters live to captures that contain it. Combine with date filtering to find that one dialog from last Tuesday.
Undo delete
Deleted captures move to a 7-day trash with a click-to-undo toast. Clear All is undoable the same way, so a slip does not cost you a week of screenshots.
A grid that keeps up
The history panel is a dark-glass grid with compact cards and smooth preview framing. Thumbnails decode off the main thread, and the panel updates live as captures are added, deleted, or restored.
Where files live
History is stored in your user Library under Application Support. Nothing syncs and nothing uploads. Delete the folder and it is gone.

Questions
Where is Shotnix history stored?
In your user Library, under Application Support, on your Mac. It never leaves the machine.
Can I recover a deleted screenshot?
Yes, for 7 days. Deleted captures move to a trash with an undo toast, and Clear All is undoable too.
Does history include recordings?
Yes. Screen recordings appear in history alongside screenshots.
